The time is nearing for me to put in my two weeks notice and get my world trip "did," as they say. Our bank account has been set up and our visas for India, the only ones necessary to get in advance, have been applied for. Our shots (yellow fever, meningitis, polio, hepatitis, typhoid) are all currently circulating our bodies forming those wondrous antibodies. The only big things still left on the agenda are to purchase travel insurance and get a storage place for all our stuff. It is getting to be a long but very busy five week period, especially for Kaitlyn, as she preapres for The Bar.

Not to mention the months of researching and planning - mostly done by Joe I must admit! For each country we are going to, and even some we are no longer going to, he completed a country report complete with things to do, how we'll get there and an estimated daily budget. From those, I put together a spread sheet of all expenses we foresee and vaccinations needed for each place. We have also done our research to buy backpacks, camera and a netbook for the journey!
